Chicken Tandoori

Tender Chicken marinated in spices and roasted to perfection to bring out the exciting aroma and delicious taste!


Ingredients:

Chicken 1 kg,
Hung Curd 200 gm,
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp,
chilly mint paste 1 tbsp,
red chilly powder 1 tsp
Kashmiri chilly powder 2 tbsp,
coriander powder 1 tbsp,
salt to taste,
oil 4 tbsp,
tandoori color 4-5 drops




Method:

1. Cut the chicken into 7-8 big pieces and clean it thoroughly.
2. Make sharp incisions on the pieces so that the marinade seeps inside.
3. Mix the hung curd with ginger garlic paste, chilly mint paste,chilly powder, tandoori color, coriander powder, 2 tbsp oil.
4. Apply this paste to the chicken and marinate in a refrigerator overnight.
5. Add salt and mix thoroughly when ready to roast.
6. Cook on convection- grill combination for 20 mins turning it  occasionally for uniform cooking.
7. Brush it with remaining oil and grill it for 15 mins on high rack or until golden brown.
8. Serve immediately with a dash of lemon and coriander- mint chutney.

Cooking tips:
1.Always use hung curd so that the marinade does not turn watery and slip off the chicken while cooking.
2. Add salt just before placing the chicken in the oven so that the marinade does not go runny.
