Kanda Bhaji (Onion Fritters)

 Rains,Pakoras and Chai! Nothing can absolutely beat this heavenly combination. Presenting Maharashtrian style crispy , crunchy kanda bhaji (Onion fritters) 

Serves - 2

Ingredients:

Onions - 2 (thinly sliced)

Gram Flour (Besan) - 3 tbsp

Chilly powder - 3 tsp

Turmeric - 1 tsp

Ajwain - 1 tsp

Salt - As per taste

Oil (for frying)

Method:

1. Place the thinly sliced onions in a bowl. Add Chilly powder, turmeric, Ajwain, Salt. Keep aside for 30 mins to an hour till the mixture is a little moist and watery

2. Add Gram flour to the mixture and mix well. 

3. In a deep vessel or a kadhai, heat oil. Add a drop of the mixture to the oil. If it floats, oil is ready for frying. 

3. Deep fry the fritters till golden brown and serve hot with garlic chutney and tea.
